many people dream about it, but a few dare to do it; leave everything behind and start up a guest house in a mediterranean country. a dutch couple dared to take the step and started off with something big. in 2003 they purchased a former textile factory dating back to 1739. they converted the place into five apartments, two guest rooms and a studio, which are rented out from may to october. images: dana van leeuwen via taverne agency.
