an old office building in milan
it's not in rome, where leonoor is now, but this very nice home and workspace of stefanie barth and andrea tognon is downtown milan. a couple of years ago they found this two storeys office building, a former company for metal working. a great place where these 2 artists can live and work. more pics after the break. images: nathalie krag and tami christiansen via taverne agency.

the crumbled city map, who doesn't hate folding a map? well i do, a lot, what makes me a big fan of this crumble city map. they are the lightest maps in the world: they are indestructable, soft and waterproof, they can be crumbled, squashed and crushed into a ball. although not very detailed they are good for the big picture. a contemporary reinvention of the most basic travel tool, via amazon. posted by leonoor

great escape on mallorca
this is absolutely one of my favorite spots, a lovely house in soller on the spanish island mallorca. the owners are anja koops and alain parry. anja is a well-known fashion stylist in holland and together with her husband alain they run a restaurant, balthazar's kitchen, downtown amsterdam. on mallorca they can escape from their busy life in amsterdam and get inspired by the spanish style and atmosphere. images: hotze eisma via taverne agency. more pics after the break

more green in your house
a small apartment in the popular neighbourhood frederiksberg in copenhagen, denmark. thilde santin bought this apartment 6 years ago. she fell in love with the amazing light and the fact that it is a penthouse made the place even more fantastic. she creates some green in her house because of the absence of a garden while she loves plants and flowers. it adds good energy and fresh air to the home and it brings a nice and calm atmosphere. images: pia winther via taverne agency

marco pierre white, 25th anniversary edition of white heat
once in a blue moon a book is published that changes irrevocably the face of things. white heat is one such book. since it was originally produced in 1990, it has gone on to become one of the most enduring classic cookbooks of our time. with its unique blend of outspoken opinion, recipes and dramatic photographs by the late legendary photographer bob carlos clarke, white heat captures the magic and spirit of british chef marco pierre white in the heat of his kitchen.
