almost easter and i (nathalie) do hope that my husband will make eggs benedict for me. the first time i had them was for christmas on a sailboat near langkawi, malaysia. we had no fresh eggs for breakfast so we borrowed some eggs from our canadian friends on another boat. they decided to make eggs benedict for us and it was so good! very heavy, but delicious.... this easter we will have fresh eggs! leonoor, my blog partner, has chicken in her garden and they give 4 eggs a day, and... she lives almost next door!  photo: john dummer

i'm not really a cake flag person, but these are so cute....., handmade in house by heriott grace. and let's immediately make panna cotta, a delicious italian desert!

recipe panna cotta, so easy to make:

250 ml cream
250 ml greek yoghurt
250 ml milk
75 gr. sugar
1 vanilla pod, seeds scraped out
9 leaves gelatin

soak the gelatin in a bowl of water for a few minutes. heat the cream, the milk, the vanilla seeds and the sugar, almost to a boil, remove from the heat. squeeze the water out of the gelatin and add to the pan,  stir until the gelatin has dissolved. let it cool for a few minutes, than stir in the yoghurt.
pour in a pudding mould or 8 small ramekins, grease them with a little vegetable oil first, cover with cling film and let it set for 3-4 hours in the fridge. dip the pudding mould or ramekins in hot water for 10 seconds, than turn out onto a big plate or 8 small ones.

serve with a simple raspberries sauce (place frozen raspberries, sugar and a splash of liquor of choice in a pan, heat while stirring until sugar dissolves), or with a dot of lemon curd for a yellowish easter feeling, garnish with mint leaves.

david bowie is, 23 march-11augustus 2013  at the victoria & albert museum in london. the v & a has been given unprecedented access to the david bowie archive for this first international retrospective of david bowie's career. the exhibition features more than 300 objects that include handwritten lyrics, original costumes, fashion, photography, film, music videos, set designs and bowie's own instruments. the book david bowie is available via v & a shop

mmmm... love to make pizza. make a simple one with tomatoes, mozzerela, olive oil and basil or add the left overs from your fridge. or.......go out to a nice pizza restaurant where they make them on the traditional way; in a wood oven! photos: mikkel vang


basic recipe pizza dough
make 4 medium pizzas

500 gr. strong white bread flour, preferable 00
1/2 tbsp salt
7 gr. dried yeast
1/2 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp olive oil
325 ml lukewarm water

combine yeast, olive oil, water and sugar, whisk with a fork to resolve and set aside for a few minutes.
sift  the flour with the salt, make a well in the middle and pour the yeast-mixture in the well.
stir the flour with a fork from the inner edge of the well with a circular movement into the the water-yeast mixture. continue to mix, bringing in all the flour until the dough comes together and becomes to hard to mix with a fork. 
flour your hands and knead the dough on a floured surface for at least 10 minutes until a smooth and soft dough. place the dough into a lightly greased bowl, cover with a moist kitchen towel and let it rise in a warm place for about an hour, until doubled in volume.

preheat the oven to 250ºc 
put the dough on a floured surface and knead for 30 seconds, then divide into 4 balls.
roll each ball out into a circle, about 0,5 cm thick. 
add the topping of your choice, drizzle with a little olive oil and bake in a preheated oven for about 10 minutes until golden and crispy.
