easy beef curry with yoghurt. images mikkel vang
2 onions, chopped
2 garlic cloves, chopped
2 tbsp coriander seeds
1 tbsp cumin seeds
250 ml yoghurt
400 gr canned tomatoes
2 red chillies, chopped
750 gr beef braising steak, cut in 3x3 cm pieces
200 ml water
sunflower oil
fresh coriander leaves

roast the cumin and coriander seeds in a dry frying pan, then ground them in a pestle and mortar.
heat the oil in a large cooking pot and fry the onions light brown. 
add the garlic, fry for about 30 seconds while stirring and then stir in the ground coriander and cumin seeds, the yoghurt and the tomatoes. 
bring to a boil while stirring and let it simmer for 10 minutes. 
add the meat, water and some salt and bring to a boil again, turn down the heat,  cover the pan with a lid and let it simmer gently for 2 hours.
sprinkle with coriander leaves and serve with pandan rice
