when we have good weather in holland then it is an amazing and beautiful country and the perfect time to discover your own country. we visited terschelling, one of the northern islands, for a week. during a nice walk on the bottom of the sea (at low tide) we found lots of clams. in the evening, at our camping place, we prepared this lovely pasta vongole. first wash the clams to get rid off the sand.fry some tomatoes, garlic, onion and a small red pepper in olive oil, add some white wine and the clams. the ones which don't open throw away. Boil separately the pasta and finally mix the clams with the pasta. bon appetit! photos: robert borghuis
