our favorites of 2012:
'the food of spain' by claudia roden, the grand old lady of mediterranean & middle eastern cooking. 'jerusalem, a cookbook', by sami tamimi & yotam ottolenghi, heroes of modern middle eastern cooking, with the most beautiful photos of jerusalem itself. and last but not least, 'home made winter' by yvette van boven, the dutch queen of home made things like yoghurt, porchetta or pain d'epice.
